Description
Dental rubber dam frames are used to hold rubber dams in place while they are being used to isolate the operative tooth or teeth. EiTi Rubber Dam Frames are made of high quality plastic and are designed to be easily and comfortably placed in the patient's mouth while securely holding the dam tightly in place.
Rubber dam frame spikes are beautifully designed so that they can engage rubber dam sheath easily. It has flexible border that holds a rubber dam in a stretched state to improve access to the field of operation. It is typically made of a thick plastic that has small hook-like retainers attached at intervals along its length.
- Nygard-Ostby Rubber Dam Frame (Medium) - Also known as shark mouth. It is a circular plastic frame made of plastic, because of its shape it exerts less tension on the dam. It stands away from the face. useful while taking radiographs.
- U-Shaped Plastic Dam Frame (Large) - Maintains borders of rubber dam sheet in position. Retracts soft tissues and improves access. It acts as a suitable substitute for young?s frame.
- Articulated Frame (Foldable rubber dam frame) - The device consists of an articulated frame that maintains the currently used standard rubber dam sheet in position. A hinge allows the frame to be folded, resulting in easier accessibility to the working area. This accessibility facilitates taking of radiographs, administration of additional doses of anesthetics, and evacuation of therapeutic liquids, which may have accidentally entered the buccal cavity. In addition, a reservoir at the bottom of the frame allows the placement of gauze compresses and an aspiration canula to avoid leakage of fluids such as sodium hypochloride onto the patient?s clothing.
