Aspen HBSAG Test Kit
The Aspen HBSAG Test Kit is a test kit used to measure Hepatitis B Surface Antigen levels. These Hepatitis B Surface Antigens are the earliest indicator of the presence of Hepatitis B infection. The HBsAg test is often used in STD screening as well as health screening for employment reasons.

TEST INDICATIONS
- A negative HBsAg means that the person does not have Hepatitis B
- There are rare windows of time in which the HBsAg antibodies will have disappeared while long-term IgG antibodies have not yet appeared
- HBsAg which is also known as the Australian antigen is the surface antigen of the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It indicates current hepatitis B infection
- A hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) level of less than 1 s/c is considered negative, while a level of more than 5 s/c is considered positive. Any value between 1 and 5 s/c is indeterminate and should be repeated
- A positive HBsAg test result means that you are infected and can spread the hepatitis B virus to others through your blood. Anti-HBs or HBsAb (Hepatitis B surface antibody) - A "positive" or "reactive" anti-HBs (or HBsAb) test result indicates that a person is protected against the hepatitis B virus
